Volunteer Opportunities for Attorneys
East Bay Sanctuary Covenant is always looking for attorneys who are willing to take on our cases pro bono. Whether you are looking for experience in affirmative asylum or looking to reconnect with the refugee community, EBSC has a plethora of cases that need your help.
EBSC is happy to fill out form I-589 with the client and to prepare the relevant country condition documents. We are asking that volunteer attorneys prepare a declaration with the client and represent the clients in their affirmative asylum interviews. We are here to support you and guide you at any step of the case, as needed. We are also here as a wailing wall for any issues with DHS you may have. If you do not have time to write a declaration with a client, please feel free to let us know. We have a lot of clients with complete declarations who need representation before the AO.
For more information please email Michael Smith.
