We offer training on the trauma-informed approach for any nonprofit organization serving the immigrant community. We can modify our training to meet the needs of specific organizations. Standard topics include:

  • What exactly does “trauma” mean? What do we mean by the “trauma-informed approach”?
  • How does trauma affect people’s behavior?
  • How can we recognize trauma in our clients?
  • What are some specific traumas common to the community our organization serves and to your staff?
  • Are your organization’s services trauma-informed? Where is there room for improvement?
