For more information about candidates, propositions, and other details about your ballot, the CalMatters 2024 Voter Guide is a nonpartisan resource created in partnership with the California State Library. It provides comprehensive information on the 2024 elections, including details on propositions, candidate profiles, and key issues.

The guide offers tools to find representatives, track election timelines, and compare candidates’ positions on important topics such as housing, healthcare, and climate change. It also includes activities and questionnaires to help users understand propositions and make informed voting decisions.

For voters in Alameda County, The Registrar of Voters offers resources to ensure voters with disabilities can participate in elections independently and privately:

  • Remote Accessible Vote by Mail (RAVBM): Allows voters to access and mark their ballots online using assistive devices before printing and mailing them. This service becomes available 29 days before the election.
  • Accessible Voting Machines: Touchscreen voting machines with audio options and enlarged text are available at polling places, helping voters with disabilities cast their ballots privately.
  • Curbside Voting: Voters unable to enter polling places due to age or disability can vote from their vehicle.
  • Voting Booths for Wheelchair Users: Accessible booths are available at every Vote Center.
  • ACVOTE On The Go: A program offering personalized assistance for hospitalized or homebound voters with disabilities.
  • Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC): This committee meets quarterly to discuss and improve accessibility for voters with disabilities.
